The Snowmound Spiraea is an absolute classic for the mountain gardener who wants a massive show of flowers with almost zero effort. This hardy deciduous shrub grows into a beautiful, vase-shaped mound reaching 3 to 5 feet tall and wide, making it the perfect choice for a flowing privacy hedge or a soft foundation planting. In late spring, the arching blue-green branches are completely smothered in tiny, pure white flower clusters that look just like a fresh dusting of snow. It is exceptionally tough, thriving in full sun and standing up to our wind and poor soils without skipping a beat. You will love that it is naturally resistant to deer and rabbits, so those graceful, blooming branches stay intact all season long. It is a reliable, pollinator-friendly workhorse that brings a sophisticated, airy feel to any landscape while requiring very little pruning to look its absolute best.
