Neon Flash Spirea

Overview & Description

Neon Flash Spirea (Spiraea japonica Neon Flash) is a fast-growing, multi-purpose deciduous shrub prized for its vivid rosy-pink, flat flower clusters that bloom continuously from late spring through fall. The lance-shaped, coarse foliage emerges green with a red hue, matures to dark green, and finishes with burgundy-red in autumn, providing vibrant seasonal colour. This reliable, long-blooming variety is a garden classic for adding consistent colour to the landscape.

Growth & Size

This variety exhibits a compact, rounded, bushy growth habit. It is a fast-growing shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 40 inches in both height and spread.

Additional Notes

It blooms continuously from late spring through fall. Hardy to Zone 3, it tolerates a variety of well-drained soils and is low-maintenance once established. An outstanding choice for borders, mass plantings, foundation plantings, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens where vivid rosy-pink blooms, continuous flowering, burgundy fall foliage, and fast-growing performance are desired.
