Autumn Blaze Maple

Latin Name: Acer x freemanii Jeffersred

The Autumn Blaze Maple is a fast-growing, hybrid deciduous tree prized for its spectacular, long-lasting vibrant red fall colour. A cross between the Red and Silver Maple, it combines the best traits of both: brilliant autumn foliage, strong branch structure, and good adaptability.

It features a strong, oval to rounded crown with dense, deep green summer foliage that turns auniform, fiery scarletin early autumn. Notably hardy and tolerant of a wide range of soils, including clay and wetter sites, it thrives in full sun and is cold-hardy to Zone 3.

Resistant to leafhopper damage, it shows better leaf quality than many Silver Maples. An excellent choice as ashade tree for lawns, parks, and streets, its rapid growth and reliable, stunning fall display make it one of the most popular landscape maples. It requires minimal maintenance once established.
