KNIPHOFIA ‘MISTY MARS’ (bare-rooted division)

Kniphofia ‘Misty Mars’ is an intriguing and unconventional variety of red hot poker, known for its aged, mustard-toned flower spikes that bloom in late summer. The blooms are topped with distinctive long orange filaments and prominent black anthers, giving them a wild, slightly smoky appearance, almost as if weathered by Martian dust, hence the name.

Reaching up to 1.1m in height, this bare-rooted perennial offers a moody, atmospheric twist on the more fiery Kniphofias. It pairs beautifully with grasses, echinacea, and late flowering perennials in bold border schemes or naturalistic plantings.
