Betonica macrantha ‘Robusta’ is a lush perennial known for its robust spikes of large purple flowers that bloom from June to July. Reaching up to 55cm in height, its rich green crumpled leaves provide an attractive backdrop to the vivid blooms.
This variety is perfect for sunny borders and performs best in good soil conditions. Imported back from the USA to reintroduce the true form after years of being offered inferior varieties, ‘Robusta’ is a must-have for gardeners looking to add bold colour and texture to their summer displays.
