A long loved cottage garden staple prized for its frothy lime green flowers that bloom from June to August and its soft, pleated green leaves that catch morning dew like jewels.
It forms neat mounds around 30cm tall and is fantastic for softening border edges, weaving through perennials, or as reliable groundcover. However, it can self-seed quite freely and may spread more than expected in ideal conditions. Easy to grow, but best placed where a little naturalistic sprawl is welcome.
Also known as Ladys Mantle.
