A striking and unusual hardy perennial, native to China, where it grows at elevations of around 800m. Its finely dissected, umbrella-shaped leaves emerge upright before opening into delicate, drooping radial fans, each leaflet attractively forked.
This deciduous foliage plant grows to about 65cm tall and thrives in shaded or part-shaded positions, making it an excellent choice for woodland gardens or shaded borders. A real curiosity for collectors and foliage lovers alike.
