Use and care

Set the lamp position using your species target UV Index and the distance to its highest accessible basking point. Mesh and guards reduce output; glass blocks useful UVB. Provide an accessible basking area and ample shade. Check output with a UV Index meter where possible, follow the installation instructions and replace the lamp according to the manufacturers schedule. Arcadia specifies a 12-month UV potency period under its stated operating conditions.
