Old Man Saltbush (Atriplex nummularia) is a tough, Australian native shrub used in edible landscaping. Its silvery leaves have a natural salty flavour and can be used fresh or dried in cooking. Drought-hardy once established, it prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Water regularly while young, then only during extended dry spells. Great for low-maintenance gardens, windbreaks, and erosion control.
