Torch Ginger ‘James Red’ (Etlingera elatior)

Red Torch Ginger James Red is a tropical plant with lush green leaves and large, bright red flower heads. It is mainly grown as a feature plant in warm, frost-free gardens and is also used as a long-lasting cut flower. The young, unopened flower buds are edible and are used in Southeast Asian cooking for their mild, citrus-like flavour.

Supplied in a 180mm pot.
